Our Staff. Or "Better known as The Breezes Crew"
It takes a team to prepare, cook and serve the Breezes Fare and we all aim to please and satisfy.
We started, just like you, as customers of Breezes, calling in for a break, or to slake a thirst after walking the dogs on the Haven or the beach.
We were drawn to the potential of this uniquely shaped restaurant, oozing with potential, but it was also pleasing that the staff seemed willing to go the extra yard to make you feel welcome and valued. So as we became potential purchasers, we knew that we would happily keep the staff we had met. And we are not disappointed.
Working a café / tea shop for 7 days a week requires more than the usual employees. You need them to be as committed to delivering service as we are.
The cooking duties are shared between two great chefs, Dave and Charlie B., who enjoy the challenge of dishing up the freshly cooked orders, as well as baking and decorating our great cakes and slices. Of course, at busier times, they are helped by assistants as we aim to keep the waiting times to a minimum, although freshly cooked will lead to occasional periods of waiting.
These assistants also work Front of House and are recognised by their cheerful faces who greet, serve and make the coffee. They don't seem to smile so much while they are washing-up, but never mind, we tie them to the sink while they are doing this. Charlotte S., Sarah S., Gemma, Sam, Hannah and Sarah L., are the names to the faces behind the counter. At weekends and holidays, we turn to the expert assistance of Katie, Lisa and Leah to keep things running smoothly.
We know you appreciate our crew as much as we do. They are a little shy, but who knows, we may get them to let us post a few photos, or even a pen portrait or two, over the coming months.
