About Us. Or "Why Breezes?"
Our Aim: To always deliver cooked to order food and great refreshments to each customer.
In 2009, and after 45 years, Emma’s Dress shop, an established Hill Head icon morphed into Breezes Cafe. At the time, the transformation of a Hill Head institution may have seen risky, but the vision of offering well cooked locally produced food seemed just what Hill Head was looking for.
At the end of 2013, new owners took over Breezes as they saw yet more potential to deliver quality food and service to its existing customer base and target a wider catchment area. We loved the “quirky” design, offering distinct areas to discover rather than placing our customers in a square box.
While some attention has been placed on the decoration and displays,
the primary consideration was on the food and service, both of which have been reconsidered and improved this year. The satisfaction of our customers and friends remains paramount to us and we have upgraded a number of products to tempt you to return.
One thing you can be sure of is that Breezes' cakes and slices
will only get better. We have new recipes and ideas that will see you coming back for more throughout the seasons.
The nautical theme sits so well for the café and consequently we have focused on improvements rather than great revamps, we hope you like the refreshed “stripy” outdoors”, as well as the newer shades of blue on the inside.
In addition to the seaside themed gifts and knick-knacks, we are very pleased with the improved ambiance afforded by a range of artwork from local artists. Feel free to browse and if you like what you see, please ask for more details.
